Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Crossbarn opens with a mild bread dough and gentle pineapple with a hint of pear. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and a bit savory. The flavor profile is a pineapple and white pepper blend with notes of white tea, toasted almond and stony minerality. I also detected hints of Bosc pear. The finish is rather dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. I would pair this Chard with linguini with white clam sauce. Enjoy – Ken
