Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from CrossBarn opens with musty barnyard, plum, cherry and pomegranate bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor are a ripe cherry and black plum blend with notes of strawberry and smoky oak. I also detected hints of blood orange, clove and cinnamon. The finish is a touch off-dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. I would pair this Pinot with a pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Vibrant ruby in color, the wine is bursting with aromas of juicy pomegranate, Bing cherry, and rhubarb, with hints of earl grey tea and cinnamon. Elegantly layered notes of ripe strawberry, raspberry, and fennel fronds create a harmonious and lifted palate accented by a delicate acidity and a subtle salinity, which hearkens to its source along the Sonoma Coast.
