Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Crossbarn opens with a dark chocolate and black currant bouquet with hints of black tea and tobacco leaf. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, smooth and accessible. The flavor profile is a gentle black currant and mild blueberry blend with notes of integrated minerality. We also detected hints of black cherry, vanilla and nutmeg. The finish is dry and fine dusty tannins and flavors drift away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this very good Cab with a filet mignon or Chateaubriand. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Rich and luxurious, this deep ruby-colored wine displays a lovely purity of fruit, with aromas of black currant and boysenberry leading to notes of blueberry and a touch of dried herbs on the palate. Finely grained tannins and a backbone of graphite balance the plush black fruits, creating a silky mouthfeel with a smooth yet powerful finish.
