Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Cristom opens with a cherry licorice and cinnamon bouquet with hints of red raspberry and wet terracotta. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, smooth, and savory with nice tension. The flavor profile is a black cherry and stony minerality blend with notes of black tea and strawberry licorice. We also detected hints of black raspberry. The finish is dry, and its moderate dusty tannins stick around for a very long time. We would pair this Pinot with a grilled hanger steak with a mushroom risotto. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Intricate aromas of dried thyme, savory poblano pepper, and bright red fruits suggesting raspberry, red cherry, and dusty bramble. Herbal and red fruit characters carry over to the palate with the addition of cranberry and dried blueberry. Firm and elegant tannins and fresh acidity provide balance and structure.
