Wine Review: This medium red colored Pinot Noir from Cristom opens with a wild strawberry and red raspberry bouquet with hints of leather, craisin and a touch of tomato leaf. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, polished and concentrated. The flavor profile is a loam and strawberry blend with notes of stony minerality and oolong tea. We also detected hints of red plum, cedar, and red currant. The finish is dry, and its very dusty fine tannins stick around for quite a while. We would decant this Pinot for a bit before pairing it with duck confit or with a Korean beef bulgogi. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Sultry aromas of dense Asian spice, Rainier cherries, hoisin sauce, and nutmeg. Unctuous and expansive on the palate with supple tannins and flavors of crunchy plum, baking spice, dark chocolate, and herbal nuances.
