Wine Review: This pale ruby colored Pinot Noir from Cristom opens with smoked meat, pencil lead, and blackberry bouquet with hints of cedar, nutmeg, and earthy mushrooms. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is a bit rustic, featuring a cedar and loam blend with notes of red plum, cured meat, and red currant. We also detected some hints of green tea and dark chocolate. The finish is dry, and its flavors and gentle tannins stick around for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with beef bourguignon or Stuart’s steak treats. Enjoy – KWGTP
