Wine Review: This very pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Craggy Range opens very fragrant and intense white grapefruit, yellow peach, and green bell pepper bouquet with hints of kiwi. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity that eventually mellows. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, fresh, and clean. The flavor profile is tangy white grapefruit and red bell pepper blend with notes of asparagus and lime. We also detected hints of honeydew melon and gooseberry. The finish is dry and mouthwatering, and refreshing. The Tasting Panel would serve this Sauvignon Blanc chilled with a cucumber and green grape gazpacho soup or your favorite fish taco recipe. Winemaker Notes: Very pale straw. Precision and purity are hallmarks of the 2023 release. Fresh kaffir lime leaf and white floral aromatics. The palate shows an abundance of fruit intensity in tune with the textural elements and crystalline finish that this vineyard is loved for. Sophisticated and moreish.
