Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Craggy Range in New Zealand opens with a cranberry and mild strawberry bouquet with hints of tea and toasted coconut. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and caressing. The flavor profile is a wild strawberry and red plum blend with notes of bacon and tea. I also detected hints of cardamom and coconut flakes towards the end. The finish is dry, and its mild tannins and flavors fade away nicely. I would pair this this crowd-pleasing and easy to drink Pinot with a grilled polenta and mushrooms. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Dark burgundy in color with an ever so slight purple hue. Aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, and hints of brioche open to a vibrant palate with svelte red fruits and velvety tannins.
