Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Brunello opens with a fragrant and ripe cherry bouquet with hints of strawberry and red plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and round. The flavor profile is a mild mineral influenced juicy tart cherry with notes of oak and pomegranate. I also detected hints of cranberry and dried herbs. The finish is dry and its flavors and well-managed tannins linger nicely. This Brunello would pair well with a homemade three meat Bolognese lasagna. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Luscious dark crimson Brunello with bountiful and intense aromas of red fruit, blackberry, spice, leather and cedar that lingers. The wine is clean, sharp but bold and generous at the same time. There is a touch of bitter almond, followed by softer tones of red berry and spice on the palate, with a long, lingering finish.
