Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Barbara opens with a dark chocolate, coffee and mild blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and very approachable. The flavor profile, while not complex is tasty and friendly. It displays mild tart black cherry and old oak flavors with nicely integrated minerality. I also detected a hint of plum and cinnamon. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This quaffer is very food friendly and will not last long at the table with friends. I would pair this fun wine with meat lasagna or veal parmigiana. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Dark ruby red Nose: Intense spice and ripe red fruits scents Taste: Fine, well-structured and long-lasting Pairings: Pasta with beans, risotto with porcini mushrooms, chicken chasseur
