Wine Review: The dark ruby color Barbera opens with a mild blueberry bouquet with a hint of old oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry and blueberry blend with hints of oak, mild plum and minerality. The finish is dry and very mild tannins and a little heat show up in the end. This Barbera went perfectly with Nissa's brisket taco appetizer. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby red in color with garnet hues, Pomorosso offers a complex and fragrant bouquet of ripe cherries and blackberry, deliciously integrated with subtle notes of cherry liqueur, chocolate, vanilla and espresso. This Barbera is very intense toasty in character with a solid yet velvety structure. This extremely elegant and sumptuous Barbera pairs well with pasta in rich meat sauce, polenta with sausages and mushrooms, and red meat dishes such as roasted game, fillet mignon and roast beef.
