Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored red blend from Conundrum is very good. It opens with a chocolate and mild black cherry bouquet with hints of cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and very approachable. You will find this wine less concentrated when compared to past vintages. The flavor profile is a red cherry and milk chocolate blend with notes of cinnamon and graphite. I also detected hints of mint and cedar. Its flavors and mild tannins drift away nicely on the finish. I would pair this crowd-pleasing red blend with a Kobe-beef sliders. This wine will be very popular at your holiday parties. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Sourced from premier California winegrowing regions, Conundrum Red features dark red varietals including Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is serious yet lighthearted, complex, and approachable. With lavish fruit flavors and baking chocolate, this wine has smooth tannins that provide a distinctive, soft character. Be daring and drink slightly chilled to enhance the fruit profile and enjoy any time of year.
