Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored red blend opens with a blueberry and black plum bouquet with hints of old oak. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, fruity and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a dried cherry with hints of cranberry, pomegranate, strawberry licorice, and gentle oak. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This wine would pair well with a meat lasagna with a wine laced Marinara sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: NOSE: Almost floral, with tones of lavender, dried berries, baking chocolate, bacon bits. Aromas are rich, velvety and wonderfully appealing. PALATE: Silky round entry with acid to balance and high fruit concentration. The nose leaves no doubt about the seriousness of this wine. The palate is fruit driven both before and after the high tannin middle core. The finish is long, not drying of tannin, and beckons a second sip.
