Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend opens with a mild plum and black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, super smooth and elegant. The flavor profile is a tasty plum and black currant blend with hints of blackberry, oak and faint minerality. The finish is dry and its well-managed tannins drift away nicely. This wine was fully enjoyed by all that tried it. It definitely reflects the soft 2014 vintage. Our group felt it was ready to go now and would pair nicely with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A dense purple robe and vibrant violet rim lead to aromas of cassis, cardamom, espresso and graphite. 2014 shows purity of site and fruit; a core of black plum and cherry, intertwined with layers of exotic spice, heightened by ripe, polished tannins, natural vibrancy and a long silky finish. This vintage reveals the harmonious balance of fruit, site and season from our Sage Mountain Vineyard at Continuum Estate.
