Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Cabernet opens with fragrant black raspberry bouquet with hints of menthol, blackberry and vanilla oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a plump and juicy black raspberry with hints of pomegranate, mild old oak, and black cherry. I also detect some black pepper. The finish dry and its moderate tannins are slightly extended and friendly. This Cab would pair well with a veal marsala. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Rich berry, caramel and walnut aromas add to the roast coffee and bittersweet chocolate characters of this Cabernet Sauvignon. Ripe, black Santa Rosa plums lead to flan/toffee-like flavors. A hazelnut brulee finish with homemade fudge and a zest of orange complete the lingering experience.
