Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored mostly Cab blend opens with a fragrant blackberry bouquet with a hint of black currant. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a spicy ripe blackberry with notes of old oak and lots black pepper. The finish is dry and its tannins are moderate, but the fruits and pepper linger for quite some time. It would pair well with barbecue braised short ribs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Spiced cherry, black plum and chocolate aromas lead to a full bodied, textural wine, studded with layers of berries and caramel mocha. The diversity of spiced flavors have melded together to provide an unctuous, rich, and generous quaff. Serve with roast chicken, grilled steak, or gourmet pizza.
