Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Merlot from the Columbia Valley opens with a black raspberry bouquet with hints of Dr. Pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a juicy plum with notes of black cherry with hints of vanilla oak and touch of cranberry. The finish is dry and its sticky oak tannins linger for quite a while after it is gone. This Merlot is a good everyday offering. I would pair it with a juicy bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The deep purple color of our Columbia Merlot alludes to enticing plum aromas with hints of spice. On the palate, dark berry fruit flavors are met with pronounced notes of toasty oak and vanilla for a textured mouthfeel. Rich with a mouth-watering acidity, this Merlot has a finish that lingers. Enjoy with tenderloin medallions drizzled with a wild huckleberry glaze or roast chicken.
