Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored blend from Washington State opens with a mild blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and fruit forward. The flavor profile is an oak influenced blueberry with notes of cherry. There is also a hint of minerality. The finish is dry and subtle. This red blend is a good value and nice everyday wine. I would pair it with your favorite burger. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Les Chevaux, (French for "the horses") is named for the wild horses that once roamed the Horse Heaven Hills. This lively red blend presents rose petal aromas and dark fruit cherry flavors, followed by smooth tannins that lead in to a vibrant finish. Pairs with foods with complex flavors, such as pepper steak, well-seasoned beef or lamb, rich stews and strong cheeses such as blue cheese and stilton.
