Wine Review: This pitch black colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State is a great deal. It opens with a fragrant blackberry and black olive bouquet with a hint of leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, smooth and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a tasty smoky oak influenced black cherry and blueberry blend with hints of blackberry and a touch of black olive. The finish is dry and its well managed tannins and flavors are nicely prolonged. This Cab is very food friendly and would be a great glass pour. I would pair this terrific wine with a bacon burger. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This bold Cabernet opens with flavors of black cherries and blackberries with a touch of currants and vanilla, complemented by earth and mineral notes. Deep berry flavors lead to a soft tannin cocoa finish. Pair with pasta bolognese, braised lamb shank, beef pot roast, & strongly flavored cheeses
