Wine Review: This well-known Sauvignon Blanc is almost clear and opens with an inviting green apple bouquet with a hint of fig. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, balanced, a tad austere, and crisp. The flavor profile is a mineral infused Anjou pear with a hint of pink grapefruit. The finish is dry and very refreshing. This wine would be perfect with trout almondine. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Pale straw green in colour and enticingly fragrant, the 2011 Sauvignon Blanc offers lifted aromas of ripe stonefruit and juicy citrus with underlying notes of blackcurrant leaf and tomato plant spice. The palate is fine yet succulent, with zesty citrus flavours and fresh acidity. There is an appealing plushness about this wine especially as it leads into a lingering and characteristically crisp finish.
