Wine Review: This dark red colored cru-level Beaujolais from Morgon opens with a musty strawberry, red raspberry, and damp cedar bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is a loam, graphite, and red plum blend with notes of dried strawberry and oolong tea. I also detected hints of red raspberry. The finish is dry, and its mild dusty fine tannins are nicely extended. This Gamay would pair well with seared duck breast. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: With red cherry and spicy notes, this Morgon pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, poultry and goat cheese. The wine is full and harmonious in color, roundness and freshness, evoking aromas of red fruits.
