Wine Review: This dark ruby colored wine from Châteauneuf du Pape is a great value from this storied region. It opens with a black plum bouquet with hints of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, quite smooth and savory. The flavor profile is a black plum and crushed stone minerality with notes of black tea and black olive. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins are nicely sustained. I would pair this very good CDP with a grilled flat iron steak. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: A beautifully traditional Châteauneuf that shows notes of kirsch, fig, black currants, black pepper, and herbs de Provence. Very complex, with a silky texture and ripe tannins that scream poise and class. Delicious now, but with another 30+ years ahead of it as well.
