Wine Review: This dark ruby colored wine from Cotes du Rhone is very good. It opens with a fragrant cedar, red rose and red cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, round and approachable. The flavor profile is a tasty cedar influenced strawberry licorice and red plum blend with notes of cinnamon and thyme. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins and fruit flavors stick around for quite a while. This Cote du Rhone over delivers and is a very good value. It paired well with my strip steak, gourmet red potatoes and red beets. Enjoy - Ken
