Wine Review: This very pale white gold colored Chenin Blanc from Vouvray opens with a flinty lime bouquet with floral notes and a hint of grapefruit. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. It nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a quince and green grape blend with notes of tart green apple and a touch of walnut and chamomile tea. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Chenin Blanc would pair well with Chilean sea bass. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Straw yellow in color, the nose reveals classic Chenin Blanc characteristics of floral aromas that are reminiscent of acacias with hints of fresh fruit. Crisp notes of green apple and citrus fruit are supported by a mineral edge that leads to a rich, concentrated and well balanced, dry palate. Serve chilled and enjoy with appetizers, seafood and poultry.
