Wine Review: This almost clear colored Vouvray opens with wet stone and green apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused green apple with notes of saline and a touch of lime. The finish is dry and its flavors linger for a little while. This Chenin Blanc from Vouvray is food friendly and would pair perfectly with shrimp scampi. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Straw yellow in color, the nose unveils typical Chenin Blanc characteristics— floral aromas that are reminiscent of acacias with hints of dried fruit. Crisp notes of green apple and citrus fruit are supported by a mineral edge that leads to a rich, concentrated and well balanced, dry palate. Serve chilled and enjoy with appetizers, seafood and poultry.
