Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay is quite impressive. It opens with an Anjou pear bouquet with a hint of apple and butterscotch. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and very well balanced. The flavor profile is a yummy ripe pear with notes of integrated vanilla oak. The finish is dry and rather pleasant as it's gentle oak notes linger nicely. This wine is very food friendly would pair well with breaded baked haddock or scrod.

Winemaker Notes: Our 2009 Mitsuko's Vineyard Chardonnay is a wine of power and intensity, yet with refinement, grace and balance. Peach, nectarine and other stone fruit aromas marry with pear and New England apple notes, all complimented by hints of citrus zest and smoky oak, endowing the wine with great aromatic depth and intensity. A well balanced plush yet vibrant fore palate evolves in the mouth into lengthy and intense fruit flavors together with an opulent rich finish.
