Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet from Clos Pegase opens with a fragrant black currant and cedar with hints of blueberry and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, savory and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a very tasty classic black currant with hints of black pepper and blackberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger nicely. The panel suggested that this wine would pair well with New York Strip steak or braised short ribs. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Dark, rich and complex fruit notes of ripe blackberry, plum, cherry and cassis are complimented by vanilla, baker's spices and a hint of licorice. This dense and weighty wine possesses a broad mid-palate balanced by classic structure, refined tannins and a lengthy finish.
