Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Clos Henri opens with a gooseberry and gentle lemon verbena bouquet with hints of ginger, fennel, and honeydew melon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel slightly viscous, round, fresh, and zesty. The flavor profile is a tasty blend of gooseberry and stony minerality with notes of Meyer lemon and kiwi. We also detected hints of lime zest and white peach. The finish is dry, and its flavors and mouthwatering acidity lingers nicely. We would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with oysters or asparagus risotto. Enjoy - KWGTP
