Wine Review: This straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc opens lemon-lime and wet stone bouquet with a hint of grapefruit. On the palate, this wine is full bodied likely due to the good portion (22%) of Semillon in this wine. It also has some nicely integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is an Anjou pear and lime blend with notes stony minerality and gentle pineapple. I also detected some hints of lemon verbena, saline, and chamomile tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. I would pair this very good Sauvignon with buttery baked scallops. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Vivid and inviting, the 2022 Sauvignon Blanc brims with energy and an elegant vivaciousness. The refreshing aromatics soar on layers of casaba melon, pineapple, and honeysuckle flowers. Flavors of kiwi, white peach, mango, and cucumber glide seamlessly along the palate with accents of sea salt, warm brioche, and persimmon tinged on the long and brightly tuned finish. A splendid note of flinty minerality persists on the tongue as this wine of poise and contemplation bids the taster for another sip. – Christopher Tynan, Director of Winemaking
