Wine Review: This slightly opaque and very dark ruby colored red blend is Excellent! It opens with a very inviting black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, exceptionally balanced, elegant, and smooth as silk. The flavor profile is a delicious black cherry and blueberry blend with nicely integrated oak. The finish is dry and its moderate well managed tannins stick around for a very long time. This Cab based wine is wonderful and would pair perfectly with a ribeye steak in the near term. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of blueberry, rose petal, and slate bloom from the glass. The palate, while complicated, boasts the classic roundness and balance of Stags Leap District. Layers of violet and liqueur intertwine, than give way to chocolate and cardamom. The flavors crescendo through tightly wound tannins to arrive at a satisfying open finish. Enjoy now, or further enhance the experience by aging.
