Wine Review: This dark red colored Syrah from Clendenen Family Vineyards opens with a marionberry, black licorice and eucalyptus bouquet with hints of rosemary, Play Doh and spearmint. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, fresh, and delicate for a Syrah. The flavor profile is mild menthol, cilantro, and cherry licorice blend with notes of pomegranate and pine. We also detected hints of rosemary and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity and dusty mild tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Syrah with a roast leg of lamb with rosemary and garlic. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Eucalyptus, pomegranate, coffee, and ginger combine to form a bright and intriguing nose. The wine exhibits a round structure with oak influences, highlighting flavors of plum sauce and white pepper that persist through the finish. Match this supple wine with ginger-glazed salmon, braised lamb, and rib-eye steak.
