Wine Review: This sparkler was well put together from beginning to end. The color is textbook straw. The bubbles flow from the bottom of the glass without ceasing. The nose is vibrant and straddles the line between Muscat and Gewurztraminer. There are the Muscat notes of candied lemon and poached pear, but there are also atypical notes of lychee and rose petals. The mouth leans towards the sweeter flavors and the acidity is quite enough to lighten the load. Around the third or fourth sip, you can start feeling the weight of the residual sugar. All in all a well-done wine given its price-point. Sip on its own after dinner or paired with fresh fruits. - Nicolay
Winemaker Notes: An Italian favorite for over a century. It is pale yellow with fast moving bubbles. It opens with a distinctive and intense nose of acacia flowers and candied peach while displaying ripe flavors of peach, melon and hints of delicate honey. Enjoy as an aperitif or with fruit-based desserts such as berry tarts, chocolate covered strawberries or key lime pie.
