Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Barbaresco was very well liked by all that tried it at Lupo. It opens with a black cherry bouquet with a hint of leather. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a cedar and black cherry blend with notes of sage and oolong tea and flinty mineralogy. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are very nicely prolonged. I would pair this very good Barbaresco with veal saltimbocca. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Serve with roast and braised red meats, game, truffle dishes or mature cheeses.
