Wine Review: The deep purple colored Petite Sirah based wine from Chronic Cellars is a very good value. It opens with a plum, craisin and old leather bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a dark chocolate and plum blend with notes of black tea, blueberry and black pepper. I also detected a hint of earthy minerality and black licorice towards the very end. The finish is dry, with subtle tannins and flavors. This wine would be a perfect pairing with Kobe sliders on a Thursday night. Enjoy - Ken
