Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored organic Merlot from Spain opens with an old shoe leather, black cherry and red currant bouquet. On the palate, this Merlot is medium bodied, balanced, and rather soft. The flavor profile is an easy going black plum with hints of black cherry noes of minerality. The finish is dry and its friendly mild tannins are friendly. This Merlot is a good food wine and would pair very nicely with a thyme seasoned pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby red. Very intense and complex nose. Very varietal. Black fruits: blackberry, ripe medlar fruit, black cherry, red plum. Black pepper. Well-balanced between freshness of acidity and finesse of its noble tannins. Long finish. Aftertaste of black plums and spices.
