Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored blend opens with a fragrant ripe blackberry jam like bouquet with hints of cedar. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, round and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a ripe blackberry with notes of black licorice, black olive, black currant, spice and oak. The finish is dry and its chalky tannins linger for a little while after the wine is gone. This wine would pair well with slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Chester Kidder offers rich aromas and flavors of black cherries, violets and dark chocolate complimented by nuances of cedar and spice. Deep crimson-colored, it balances concentration with elegance and a vibrant mouth feel that gains complexity across the mid-palate and leaves an impression of spicy fruits across a long, silky finish.
