Wine Review: The opaque and dark purple colored red blend from Washington State opens with a very shy mild black currant bouquet with a faint hint of oak. But don’t let the bouquet fool you. Once in the mouth, this wine comes alive. It is full bodied, balanced, rich and very flavorful. The flavor profile is a delicious blueberry and vanilla oak blend. I also detected a hint of blackberry as well. The finish is dry and it fine dusty tannins linger for quite a while after the wine is gone. This wine is polished and ready for consumption in the near term. I would find a bottle at my favorite steakhouse and serve it with filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of dried figs and cocoa powder, along with hints of tamarind and toasty oak are followed by intense violet and blueberry jam flavors beautifully integrated around a spicy core. Balanced, with refined texture and robust structure, a seductive mouthfeel sets up the wine for its remarkably long, satisfying finish. - Gilles Nicault, Winemaker
