Wine Review: This pale straw colored Oregon Pinot Gris from Chehalem was a hit with the tasting panel. It opens with a fragrant peach and mild lemon bouquet with hints of gardenia. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, viscous and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is white peach with notes of minerality. We also detected hints of grapefruit and orange zest in the background. The finish is dry and its acidity and fruit provide a long and lingering finish. The panel found this very appealing Pinot Gris to be food friendly and would pair it with a baked scallop casserole or sole almandine. Enjoy - KWGTP
