Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot opens with mild black raspberry and twig like bouquet with a hint of strawberry licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is strawberry rhubarb with notes of black pepper and plum. I also picked up a hint of cinnamon and chai tea. The finish is dry and its tingly acidity lingers for quite a while after the wine is gone. I would pair this lively Pinot with grilled salmon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine is a classic example of what finesse Stoller Vineyards can show on a cooler year. Always warmer than our other sites, this Pinot shows dense, dark cherry, red plum, and raspberry preserves. Typical earthiness and brown spice is accented by delicate violets, truffle, and vanilla. The structure is still firm, chewy and lengthy, but will evolve, soften and open with additional time.
