Wine Review: This pale yellow colored un-oaked Chardonnay a wine from Oregon is a wine that you would not guess is a Chardonnay. It is however, a very friendly and approachable white wine. It opens with a mild mango and gentle tangerine like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, balanced, and easy going. The flavor profile is a gentle Anjou pear with nicely integrated mild minerality and light lime. The finish is dry and refreshing. I like this wine and would treat it similar to a Sancerre. I would pair it with black forest ham, baby Swiss and sharp mustard on a French baguette. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: What a fantastic year for whites…this INOX hints at barrel influences (vanilla, honey and great texture), but don't be fooled! The core of minerality and bright acid says "I came from stainless steel!" The balance in this wine will still make you second-guess yourself. A calming lemon curd, pear and white flower aromatic bouquet with the vibrancy of Sweet Tarts, green apples and gummy peaches on the palate. Smooth mid-palate and mouth-wateringly long finish, this un-oaked chard is waiting for food, or a sunny back porch.
