Wine Review: This medium golden yellow colored Beaujolais Blanc opens with a wet stone, pear and mild grapefruit bouquet with hints of lime zest and honeysuckle. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, fresh, clean, and bright. The flavor profile is an Anjou pear and mild chalky minerality with notes of saline and green apple. We also detected some hints of green tea, lemon-lime and white pepper mixed in. The finish is dry, quite refreshing and long. We would pair this wine with my famous pear salad and chicken fricassee. Enjoy – Ken & Mark
Winemaker Notes: Few people know that the region of Beaujolais produces white wines. This wine has a beautiful golden color and a bouquet of aromas with white peach, apricot, and hints of hawthorn. It is crisp but also presents a fullness on the palate. This wine is very pleasant, bright, and mineral driven, with a good length. This Beaujolais white should be served cool with a dry goat cheese or with a cod en papillote. Drink within 2 to 3 years.
