Wine Review: This very dark opaque purple colored Cab from Washington was very well received by the panel and finished in third place in our big blind tasting. This Cab opens with a fragrant blackberry bouquet with hints of chocolate and tobacco. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a spicy blackberry with hints of dark chocolate and licorice. The finish is rather dry and its moderate tannins are lengthy. The panel felt this Cab would be a nice complement to pork roast with porcini au jus or roasted duck. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: "Planted by vineyard manager Mimi Nye in 1991, our vineyard at Canoe Ridge Estate is coming out of adolescence and hitting its stride. The wines from this fruit are showing more depth and concentration. The Canoe Ridge Estate Cabernet typifies the Horse Heaven Hills AVA with beautiful, expressive fruit and delicate tannins." - Bob Bertheau, Winemaker
