Wine Review: This ruby colored Beaujolais from the Morgon commune opens with a black raspberry, black cherry, and cigar box bouquet with hints of loam and strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and very juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty red currant and cherry blend with notes of gentle loam and saline. I also detected hints of oak and juicy red plum. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins build-up nicely and stick around for quite a while. This is another solid offering from the 2020 vintage. I would pair it with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: With hints of clove and blackberry, this medium weight red wine has a bold presence and long finish. The tannins are chewy and will refine with a bit of age, while offering a nice complement to protein-based cuisines. Perfect with burgers, roast, or grilled meats.
