Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Gamay from the Saint-Amour commune opens with a cinnamon, new leather, and red cherry bouquet with a hint of pine resin. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, gentle, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is a dried strawberry and cedar blend with notes of pomegranate, teaberry, and loam. We also detected hints of smoked meat and oolong tea in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins build-up slightly. The Tasting Panel would pair this wine with a black bean and steak taco or Thanksgiving Day turkey. Enjoy – KWGTP
