Wine Review: This strawberry red colored wine opens with a mineral influenced wild strawberry and watermelon bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic round and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral and saline influenced mild wild strawberry with notes of blood orange and red cherry. I also detected hints of white pepper and red raspberry at the very end. The finish is dry, subtle and refreshing. This Rose would pair well with grilled lime shrimp. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Segries Tavel Rosé comes from 60-year-old vines. Deep pinkish salmon color with red highlights. Intense, well-opened nose of ripe cherries, wild strawberries and raspberries. The aromas of red berries and citrus fruit accentuated by spices, Nice freshness on the palate; balanced; well-textured. Pair with charcuterie, grilled meat or spicy Asian cuisine.
