Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Merlot based wine from Pomerol opens with a black raspberry and blackberry pie bouquet with hints of violets and malted milk balls. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium with acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is stone dust and tea blend with notes of plum and light blackberry. We also detected some hints of cedar and black pepper. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins build-up and stick around for quite a while. We would pair this good value wine with grilled steak tips. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: An attractive crimson, the wine has a refined and complex nose on black fruit aromas with subtle oaky notes. From an elegant attack, the full-bodied and well-balanced mid-palate reveals rich ripe fruit flavors, especially black currant and black cherry, leading into a long finish underpinned by refined, silky tannins.
