Wine Review: This ruby colored Gamay from Brouilly opens with a cranberry and potting soil bouquet with hints of red plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with tingly medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a red currant and craisin blend with notes of black tea, oak, and anise. The finish is a bit off-dry and its flavors and mediums tannins fade away nicely. I would pair this Brouilly with a pulled pork sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Delectable, fruity nose underscored with aromas of red fruits and notes of nutmeg spice. Generous and aromatic on the palate, with supple, mellow tannins. Notes of red fruit and spice offer depth and lively acidity. Expressive, generous, and enjoyable right now, this is a perfect wine to enjoy with a slight chill. Pair with all meats, chicken, wild mushrooms, and strong cheeses.
