Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Gamay opens with a blackberry and loam bouquet with hints of boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, dense, and fresh. The flavor profile is a blend of Crème de mûre and cassis along with notes of stony minerality and tea. There is a hint of black cherry in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its acidity, flavors and moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. The very tasty Côte de Brouilly would pair nicely with my beef bourguignon recipe. Enjoy - Ken
