Wine Review: This ruby colored Gamay from the Moulin-a-Vent commune opens with a black raspberry and red plum bouquet with hints of violets. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tart black plum and black raspberry blend with notes of graphite. We also detected hints of black tea and loam. The finish is dry, and its moderate dusty tannins linger and last for a while. We would pair this Gamay with a black and blue bacon burger. Enjoy – Ken
