Wine Review: This dark maraschino cherry colored wine from Tavel opens with a crushed stone and black currant bouquet with a hint of orange zest. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and bright. The flavor profile is a stony mineral and spiced red plum blend with notes of white pepper. I also picked up some hints of gentle red currant and red cherry in the background. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would serve this Rose slightly chilled with a strawberry, avocado, and spinach salad with poppyseed dressing. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2021 Tavel boasts a robe of intense color, the Aqueria signature. Fruity nose of raspberry and black currant with notes of spices that develop on the palate. The outstanding balance in this vintage combining power and elegance enhances the aromas that persist throughout a lingering fresh and subtle finish.
